That old XIX and XX century socialism is already obsolete. In this day and age we can do something that works out better. Industrialization has come to a point where a portion of the population really doesn't need to work at all to have all their needs satisfied; with better social regulations on reproduction and the forming of families, the quality of life of those persons increase, and through further industrialization even less have to work for all to live comfortably. However, since we're still using some bullshit ancient form of capitalism, those people who don't need to work anymore need to prove themselves they're worthy of surviving, thus bullshit jobs that don't increase productiveness in society are made, redundant competence is promoted with the goal of making a group starve while the other one hoards all the resources, the service industry increases and has people punishing themselves doing a job that won't help anybody. In the end the goal of capitalism is to have everyone working to prove they are worthy of being fed, NEETs just fall through the gaps and take advantage of their family or social reforms by the new democratic socialist governments.

There's a vicious cycle in which a society with slave mentality creates people with slave mentality that supports such society. Extremely few people are actually happy with their lives, it's extremely rare to find someone who actually loves their job, the rest of them do theirs because they had no other way, but even then most of those still hope that one day their turn comes to be the ones with power and able to fuck over those in the positions themselves are in this moment. Some people just can't see a world in which people are actually happy doing the things they like, they feel offended by it, after all they have justified their whole lives through the slave system and achieving mediocrity is meaningful to them.

First thing in the morning I do after I wake up is making boiling water. The boiling water is used for both oatmeal and tea. I take the tea first, sometimes it is green tea, other times it is a kind of herbal tea. I take everything from ginger, to ginkgo, to St. John's Worth to more obsecure herbs. I wait several minutes so that the tea becomes very strong and so that it contains as much phytonutrients as possible.

After I've drunk my tea I eat oatmeal. During the midday I usually eat either a bag of unsalted nuts or nothing until I get hungry again. When I do get hungry I go to the supermarket and buy blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, blue grapes, dried figs, dried dates and or dark chocolate: it depends on the price and what is available. Fruit, dark chocolate and nuts are the most expensive of my daily diet although it depends on what you buy and when you buy it.

When it is dinner time I usually go for meat substitutes. I used to think they might be healthy but I doubt it since they are processed. Still, they are cheaper as meat. I rarely eat meat, usually in the weekends and I go for white meat or shrimps, very rarely red meat. This because dietary textbooks recommend to ease on the red meat as it increases your chances of getting cancer.

Sometimes I eat the meat substitute or the meat with deep green vegetables such as broccoli or brussel sprouts, other times I make a kind of stew with beans or sweat potato, tomato sauce and with a lot of spices such as chili, pepper, turmeric and Italian herb blends.

I do take it serious and exclude certain food that are adviced to avoid by the sources I consult. I want to experiment with edible mushrooms and allium species more: both are appearently very healthy but I barely eat them.

I also gather wild berries and blackberries from the wild when I am out walking as I am an amateur botanist. If I could opt for a more traditional dish I would do it but my country's traditional food has been corrupted.
