Most people like puppies, but girls seem to like them to the point where they might spend time with a guy just to be near his puppy.

Question: how can I have a dog that is always a puppy and doesn't grow up? I can only see two solutions:
1) Throw the dog out as it grows a get a new pupper. Not an option, I could never abandon an animal.
2) Get a dog from a breed that doesn't really grow much, like a chihuahua or whatever. Not an option either, I find those despicable.

Are there any other viable options? Like somehow have a perpetual rotation of puppies going through my hands without me having to abandon them or do anything cruel to them otherwise.
