Anyone else get it once in awhile?
>suddenly everything looks far away
>like the FOV settings were increased
pic very related
i sometimes get it, but it's the version where you feel that everything goes faster than usual, and senses get enhanced (touch and hearing), makes me anxious when it happens, like i'm abou to die.
Sometimes my vision just blurs and it's impossible for me to focus on something for a bit.

I thought this was normal, this has happened since I was a kid
Sometimes I feel like nothing is real and I get really panicky and upset. I know that it's not true and that solipsism is edgy and childish as fuck, but it doesn't really help.
this+ visual snow from when i was really young. AIWS doesn't really bother me anymore, since I don't panic after having it happen so many times
Derealization event.
Likely stress or anxiety related but sometimes a result of just not feeling like you belong.
I got more than a few as a kid and still sometimes as an adult.
as a kid, i would sometimes feel like i was in a dream, like I wasn't there. Used to go to a youth center, so I feel like it had something to do with not seeing my parents most days. It would happen when my parents were later than usual and when I would stay there for more than 5 hours.

I feel sorry for you. i used to get it as a kid and i just thought i was sick or something and never knew what it was.
It happens when I'm stressed out by something or if I'm outside and feel really nauseous.
I also got the 'fps' effect where I would see things moving much quicker
Do you ever close your eyes and feel like you're starting into a spacious black void like there's room behind your eyelids?

That happens every time I close my eyes and think about the default forge map in halo 3

Same it's only as I got older I even knew what was going on.
i used to have those derealization events too. physically i had the sensation of leaving my body, but visually it felt like increasing my fov slightly. i'd also get a distinct smell in my nose.
it usually happened when i was in the zone working on something, usually programming.

I had this like an hour ago while I was reading, it really freaked me out and made me question everything
