mental illness awareness!!!

Just recently had a talk with a new staff member at my college. And despite me having a mental illness and disability, that member still told me that since I'm a white, heterosexual male, it wasn't the same the thing as everyone else in the clubs I went to on campus (centred around debilitating illnesses), and that I needed to find another club for other white men with mental problems (for which none exists) -- nor was I any longer welcome to those clubs (despite everyone else saying otherwise). I dropped out completely because of this.

Pretty sure reddit is the mother load of people who preach respect and equality for the mentally ill, and yet show prejudice and bigotry towards the mentally ill.
