>>36233786
Okay, this is fucked. I thought that only happend to me!
I remember that shit from when i was a kid, the ol laptop used to turn on by iself in the middle of the fucking night, never during the day or whatever, only in the dead of the night it would turn itself on regardless of sleepmode or if the power were off or whatever.
I literally never turn my laptop off scince then. When i do turn it off, i remove the battery.
My laptop does the same. After some time I put it in sleep mode it does this. But only once.
>>36233948
it only happens to me when in sleep mode. never when I turn it off. Strange. Is it possicble that it isn't hacker?
>>36233936
It seems to do it 24/7
>>36233984
not OP but ive had 3 laptops and i never ran into that stuff
>>36233984
I've had different laptops and they all did this.
Over the years i've come up with a few possible explinations, but nothing plausible so far.
Most likely not a "hacker", more likely to be an event happening on your laptop that triggers a signal to wake the machine.
I got some viruses some time ago. I thought I deleted most of that stuff maybe it's something that survived. I'm considering to divide disk on two partitions and format system partition
>>36234103
How the fuck do you get a virus in 2017?
Run CCcleaner or reset to factory state, anon.
I use Linux and putting laptop in sleep means you can't get back out of it.
I disabled ability for my network card to wake it up, and it doesn't do that now.Am I safe now?
