8th grade was the best for me. Went through my growth spurt early so I was one of the tallest guys at my school until 9th grade.

Never faced those problems, actually, In fact, I actually got along better with people in grades above and below me more than specifically my grade. Some of the older kids even had my back, because the football/basketball players knew me in Boy Scouts

8th was the worst year of my life. Both my grandparents died, I was friendzoned by my first real crush and I fucked up half my classes. Then my best friend moved away and I had an identity crisis into highschool. Highschool was much better even though eventually my friends and I became the edgy low-key school shooter group.

I'm 32 years old and literally don't remember 8th grade at all.

I don't remember what my classes were, who my teachers were, what significant events of my early teen years took place then, or even most of the kids in my grade and classes.

I'd have to dig through boxes of shit to find my old report cards to be like "oh yeah that was the year I got into Marilyn Manson, and Teacher so-and-so always smelled like dogfood and that one kid threw up in class" or whatever.

6th, 7th, 8th grades were the worst years of my life too. Should I tell some stories?
