Do you mean 'we' as in people in general or 'we' as in robots who have already alienated everyone around them so they have nothing left to lose?
i mastered it, but i can't tell you how, not because i won't, but because it doesn't seem possible.
i wouldn't even know where to begin.
i remember 3rd grade, i tripped over some kids backpack in the middle of a test in class and fell and everyone started laughing at me and i got up and said, "that didn't hurt at all" and the laughter got louder.
it might be something that's developed from a young age, but i'm not sure. some of the components are courage and humor, i can tell you that.

Because we are social animals, hard wired to stay in good favours with the rest of the tribe. You need some self consciousness or else you wouldn't bathe and would therefore be less likely to procreate. It becomes pathological when you anguish over how people might perceive your smallest flaws.

Because other people either give you jobs or good grades or are potential friends or dates.
