I grew up going to a pretty big Southern Baptist church. My family stopped going when I was around 12 because the preacher started preaching homophobic shit to win brownie points with our republican representative who went to the church. It really pissed my dad off because his brother was gay. Ive never been to church since then.

I was born in a household where religion isn't really a big part of daily life but I've been reading up on Buddhism (Zen Buddhism specially) and it sounds pretty nice for the most part

I'm Christian. Non denominational. I find the different denominations arguing with each other to be counter productive. The point is to have a connection with God and become a better person not to dispute minute details.

I have a firm belief in atheism. I believe it to be true and am willing to guide anyone to the truth who wants a more fulfilling life.

I've never been religious. My parents tried to get me to be when I was a kid and read me passages from the bible, and those easily-digestible "children's bible stories", brought me to church
None of it ever stuck. I always took them as though they were literally just stories.

I kind of wish I could make myself believe any of it, if only just to have some core conviction in my life.

Was raised Catholic but not a fan of the general culture, at least from the church I regularly went to. I haven't attended regularly in years, but I haven't lost faith in Christianity as a whole. Not sure what to do about it, considering just going to different churches around my area once I move in fully and find one I like but I don't know which ones to avoid or which would fit my beliefs the best.
