Which is better: to be adaptable or specialized?

Depends on the job. For doctors and tradesmen its generally better to be specialized I would think. For management jobs being adaptable is better.

Depends. We talking about humanity in its current judaeic Christian western sense, or in evolutionary biological terms.
Adaptability is great for the collective, specialisation benefits the individual. usually

Talking about the first.

Interesting.
Is being adaptable more stable and specialized more fluctuating?

rarely do I get to see a 3 head

I'm going with adaptable but being specialized would definitely have its advantages

god you can tell there is nothing going on in that brain. Gorillas literally have more attentive expressions.
I dunno but I would kill to have that hair line in your pick op. He could shape that up and have the fullest hair line known to man.

i think it's the other way around. specialization is only a thing in a collective because you don't need to know everything yourself since you can rely on someone else that does. specialization ensures interdependence but you better hope you can count on the other people to do their jobs correctly. being able to adapt to different situations allows for more self-reliance and it would imply that you are good at applying your skills in one area to any new situation that arises, as well as being able to easily acquire new skills.

I think it has to do more with stability, meaning we can exaggerate in one function alone. If there is change, there is necessity to adapt.
But since we can only be stable in collective, then it probably is something that only works in collective
