Are you student looking for a job this summer? Tired of being a useless NEET? Be a seafood processor in Alaska with me. Most companies pay for your flight to alaska and give you free room and board. You work for a couple months during the summer season and then you fly back home. No work experience needed!
The shifts are long but any shifts over 8 hours give you overtime pay.
starts june 1
yeah I can't take people who say they "can't find a job" seriously because this exists.
I worked in a factory before.
Cold, unorganized, hostile, miserable mess of nightmarish shifts awful duties unobtainable dead lines.
I got strep throat and just had to quit.
Tired of being a useless NEET?

So what is it about Alaska that drives people crazy? Can someone explain. My job has a branch in Alaska and they are always looking for people to work there, and it pays 75% more than current location. I'm thinking about doing this for a couple of years to horde up some money for retirement, but we had a guy that did this. He went to alaska for 2 years for the position and he just came back different. It was like he wasn't the same person. He was on edge and always moody and depressed looking and he looked un-healthy.
im guessing the pay is good since everything in alaska is expensive af, but whats the starting pay?
>>36188768
Theres jack shit to do up in alaska. Your only neighbor could be like, 300 miles away or some shit.
>>36188705
I've shilled it twice already here and once on biz. I just applied to this right now.

I selected Dutch Harbor btw, I'm wondering to apply for another processor job or are these ultra guaranteed after the interview. But they get 30 year old mexicans and small females/druggie females so how can I not get it, I can buff up a little and maybe cut my hair more. not too autistic anymore and can look at people eyes and talk louder.
>>36188202
>Cold, unorganized, hostile, miserable mess of nightmarish shifts awful duties unobtainable dead lines.
This was my exact experience desu. You could never work fast enough.
>>36188768
isolation and 6-month-long night
>>36188823
Does it fly in people form Europe, you think? I'm guessing it could only be available for Americans.
>>36188790
9.8 is minimum wage now, used to be 9.75 last year. As far as reviews, some on facebook are a little angry and two mentioned the obvious you get real money on OT. On indeed they classify it as slave labor, which is perfect for OT, I'm hoping 800 atleast a week.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI6l5PpyBKE
He basically says atleast 1.5 months-2months, I was hoping more longer, but I will look into the seasons in a bit maybe summer season is longer than winter.
>>36188823
>Starting Wage: $9.80 / Overtime $14.70
this sounds like shit pay desu
>>36188823
Does it work for me? I live in Spain..
>>36188893
Same..
>>36188923
and whats the best an r9k neet to do? 30 hours at a fast food? just going to use this as a buffer, and most likely get into forklifting 12 hour shift and save for a year
>>36188905
>10 dollars an hour
Lmao, 18 year olds with no experience start over 12 dollars an hour in a chicken plant 10 minutes away
No wonder they can't get people to work there. Fucking bump that pay up greedy ass Alaskan slave owners.
>>36189025
I got paid 10/hr to fuck around with light bulbs at my last job. Being a slave for 9 bucks is shit
>>36189025
Actually yes, fast food would be better pay than this.
>>36189061
too far away from chicken plant here
>>36189153
Too far away from fucking Alaska here m8
To think, I actually considered that gig until hearing about the laughable pay rate. Shits MORE expensive in Alaska too that's absolutely pathetic. And what if I get sick and need to go home? Think they'll fly me back?
I might as well be an Alaskan King Crab Fisher at least then I'll get paid money instead of peanuts.
If you had shown me this 6 months ago I'd be all over it but I have a "career" now, though I make even less than you. Is the room a private room?
>>36188154
The travel and board isn't as good as you made it sound.
>>36189216
The housing they provide is 5 dollars a day if you stay the entire contract, food included. They slave you for 14 hours a day, everyday. Your obviously going to be in hell for 2 months and that's it, the travel to and back is free. Don't get sick. Also what states are you guys in? I'm still at 7.25 minimum here
>>36189291
>You will be charged $15 per day for room and board.
>We will offer to refund 1/3 of the Room and Board deduction if an employee successfully completes their contract. This would equate to a $5.00 per day refund.
You're a fucking moron who can't even read or do basic math.
>>36188154
wasn't this an episode of malcom in the middle?
>>36189347
fg, i just skimmed and looked at the numbers
>>36188923
10 dollars a day is a rip off. Especially when you can get starting retail jobs and gas attendent jobs starting at 10 dollars anywhere.
I currently make 42k a year at my job , and the branch in Alaska starts at 62k with room to negotiate pay.
>>36188669
first thing i thought as well
>>36189506
>10 dollars a day
>a day
lol what
>>36189706
Um he didn't specify $9.80 /hr
He just wrote 9.80 , so I assume that is a daily wage
>>36188768
Mainland USA gets loads of sunlight. Alaska is way up north and gets far less sunlight than you're used to.
Your body uses sunlight to make vitamin D in the skin. Vitamin D contributes to wakefulness, alertness, motivation and general happiness.
You should take a vitamin D supplement if you live in a northern place like UK, Scandinavia, Alaska.
>>36189736
I didn't think people came this stupid
>>36189736
>so I assume that is a daily wage
not even in gambia my friend
>>36189905
> /r9k/
orgggre
I think I might do this. I've never been to Alaska before, so there is that. More importantly I could do this and be able to save enough for a car. Also You might want to look at this op.

>>36188768
I would do it. All my friends are Internet friends and former-in-person-now-thousands-of-miles-away friends anyway. Also spending a week alone in Iceland once was among the best vacations I've ever taken.
>>36190383
>http://www.oceanbeauty.com/jobs/
I want to start sooner and get out sooner
>>36188768
No sunlight
Nothing to do
You're surrounded by hicks
You're away from the rest of your country
The internet is shit
On top of it all, the cost of living is higher than most of the midwest
>>36188154
Do they cover flights from Yurop? Do I have to suspect myself to a full cavity search by a minimum wage "special" TSA agent when I arrive on 'murican soil, so I get a taste of freedom?
>>36190787
>Do I have to suspect myself to a full cavity search
Yes, and you have to give up the passwords to your laptop, phone, tablet, and all your social media accounts.
>tfw 18yold, i can understand and speak english at the level of a 11 yold child
>tfw mexican without visa or any travel documentation
fucking end me, that work is 100% for me but i can't travel
>>36190787
*subject myself
Is what I meant.
But this >>36190815 sounds bad. Don't they realize I could have just uploaded the terror plans to the cloud before traveling and encrypted them with a wholly different password?
>>36190787
Where did you get the idea that TSA is min wage. It's a federal job and pays pretty good. Maybe you should learn a little respect to authority figures
>>36190941
It's not for security. It's for subjugation.
>>36189291
$13.00 in San Francisco. At one of my jobs after 90 days you get a pay increase, so it would be around $13.30, and then in july sf minimum goes up to $14.00, so by mid july i should be making around $14.30 at a friggin bowling alley lol.
>>36190949
Here government jobs are usually for retards who couldn't make it in the real world. It's pretty close to minimum wage in Europe (unless you are high ranking politician or whatnot).
>>36191017
In America , government jobs are the best jobs you can get.
>>36190980
>In general, the total cost of living in San Francisco is 62.6% higher than the US average
>>36188154
I'd go but I am not american.
>>36191152
Yeah, I can't wait to et the fuck out of here after I finish with school, it's so expensive for such a boring city.
>>36191332
doesn't sound bad living in your car. the south is so much cheaper m8
>>36191426
My dream would be to save up enough to be able to retire to he south. Seems really comfy.
How is the internet? Can I play video games?
If so I might go.
Why would I be lonely there when I can be lonely and comfortable at home?
How much money in total do you even make?
>>36191613
12h a day for 6 days a week = 72h-40= 32 hours on overtime which would be 470 + 392 = 862.
For 2 months it would be 6896.00. The room costs 10$ a day which would be like 600.
6,200 for 2 months, assuming they will give 72h a week.
The guy in the video said they were working all week long and got to overtime pay after 3 days, so thats about 13h a day
