I kind of busted my knee during a tackle during a match at a nines-tournament last saturday though, so no practice for me for maybe another week or so. I just started doing serious cardio again too, after being too depressed for a while. I need to run 3K in around 12 minutes, or I'll get sent home from the army which I got conscripted into. Going in August. Currently doing 3K at 24 minutes, but I have no idea what measurement the treadmill displays at.

You can get a good body just with weighted pull ups, weighted dips and handstand pushups, dragon flags, superman planks, burpees for conditioning

I really like tiger bend push ups too

Heck, my routine is simply this, 2x a week

Heavy day/Volume day

Weighted Pullups
Weighted Dips
T bar rows
Kroc rows
Kneeling Landmine presses
Tiger bend push ups

Heavy day 5 or less reps in every exercise, 2-1minute rest, low sets
Volume day 8 or more reps in every exercise 30-1 minute rest, tons of sets

Well, you get used to them, it also helps that i don't do any bench press so i don't get overused shoulders, and the landmine presses are very light on the shoulder joint

You don't need to start or progress fast, just 1 or 2 kg per week is enough to progress, if you do dips already then weighted dips aren't different, you just have more weight, you can start doing them with just 3 kg and it will still be an improvement

I also do like 100 face pulls with light weight after every workout just to do some external rotation work in the rotator cuff, it helps a lot, i used to have some nagging back pain and the facepulls made them go away

I'm a 6'1 130lb lanklet and I started going to the gym again about a week ago. I was at 145 about a year and a half ago but i lost that because I got lazy. I'm feeling motivated again and my goal weight for now is 145 by the time summer comes. Smoking has helped so much with the eating but I've been feeling kinda weak at the gym in a weird way, like my balance/support muscles are weak compared to my main ones. If you are financially comfortable I'd recommend a good physical therapist. If you're like me, a broke college student with shit health insurance, you can learn how to fix your posture yourself just by reading up on some basic human anatomy and watching credible YouTube videos. Check out GuerillaZen on YouTube, he breaks down every part of the human body that can have bad posture and how to fix it. There's some good ones on how to fix forward head posture which is one of the most important exercises IMO.

If you do it right then its fine but people who have no idea go from sitting on their couch for 20+ years to squats, deadlifts, bench without even building up a strength base. Your muscles might gain strength fast but your joints will take a lot longer. Most people I've seen also have shit form which is gonna end up fucking them up as the weights they're pushing get heavier. Watching YouTube form videos isn't enough when you have no one verifying your form is correct.

Slow bulking when done right can be healthy but people just eat tons and tons of shit and call it "dirty bulking" sure they'll gain size but its not good for you and you'll look like shit. Oh the whole "cardio kills gains" meme is stupid as well and even though I guess its ironic newbs will take it seriously
