better than most people, but I still don't know how to chop onions

I'm fine. There are some dishes I can do, I do not burn things in the pan anymore and know more seasonings than salt. There is still much to learn.

Average to good, but rusty now. I just seldom bother with anything elaborate for myself.
And cooking for a girl is sadly a quick way into arid pussy territory, as much as they claim otherwise outwardly.

Not into doing anything fancy but cooking isn't exactly arcane. It's something everyone should do daily and I think at some point in time, before the cancerization of fast and ready-cooked foods, everyone probably did.

cooking is really broad.

what's hard are sauces, roux, specialty rice (go ahead and make a rice dish from scratch that tastes good, i dare you), baking is pretty crazy, dressing and debone of poultry and fish is nuts and takes practice.
