Regarding the state of /r9k/

Why do no anons discuss this current issue? It currently can't be fixed, but is still something interesting to talk about.

This place got fuckign 'flandersized' if you know what it means. It's when a well rounded sitcom character over time comes to be dominated by one attribute - Homer becomes JUST the dumb guy, flanders becomes JUST the religious guy.

R9k used to be about talking each other through anything and everything that ~18-25 y/o mostly middle class, white, males had to deal with at that stage of life

Look at the top 10 threads right now, it's all some variation of WAAAH WHY CANT I HAVE A HOT GIRL LIKE THE TEEVEE MAKES ME THINK EVERY OTHER GUY MY AGE HAS

It's like what happened to /pol/ over this last election year, now it's a goddamn battleground between far-right Trumpfag ideologues and new invading shills, and the shills just reinforce the far-right 'tru-pol' identity because having a common enemy is what provokes and maintains unification of any sort so now /pol/ considers itself unified in it's ideology which didn't used to be true, there used to be libertarians and disenfranchised lefties and anarcho-prims and all sorts of others, not anymore

This shithole is becoming a battleground between invading normies and what percieves itself to be the 'true robot' type, with NO GF being the central attribute so that's what gets spammed all the fucking time now

I don't have a gf but I'm really not interested in talking about it so that leaves me out of the new order. I might leave for good someday, every time I come here I realize that feeling of belonging this board used to bring me is gone.

i agree, op. i hate "internet culture" in general now. guess it's time i stopped caring anyway since i'm in my 30s. everything is shit. i've already been using the internet almost exclusively for downloading shit and reading news here and there for the past year or so and in a couple of weeks i'll be moving somewhere without internet access; so guess the time has come.
