What is art?
Do you think art has to be intentionally created by an artist? Can a functional object be art? Can a smell be "art"? Can a feeling or an experience be art?

$9.25 an hour at starbucks for 35 hours a week after graduation
>Do you think art has to be intentionally created by an artist?
yes. if it's an accident it loses it's artistic properties.
Can a functional object be art?
It depends. i haven't seen much art that is also a functional object. if it's unique, and still has a message or is thought provoking, then sure, why not?
Can a smell be "art"?
I don't really think so. it can be a creative scent, but it doesn't really bring anything to the table.
Can a feeling or an experience be art?
If it is represented then yes. if it's just some memory then no, even if it's significant to you.
This is just my 2 cents though, art is extremely subjective, so if you feel all of the above is art, then it technically is. art is in the eye of the beholder.
art is decided after the fact by critics, who are the real artists after all
intent is irrelevant - it's impossible to determine anyway

I feel like this summarizes the OP question to what is art?
Art as something that brings something new to the world. A new perspective on something, or an experience to behold.
Art is something you experience and make you ponder or feel for. Yes to all btw
i would say art is a specific category of reactions a human has to sensory input
Anything aesthetic is art.
