has anyone here ever read my twisted world? what do you think of it?
>>
Yes, it was a fascinating look at one of the biggest losers that ever existed.
>>
>>36127375
too bad a fucking door stopped him

f
>>
I've read maybe 1/2 into it, plus multiple pages of the ending.

I can understand the idea of truly being so fucking done, so irritated and shoved aside by the world that you simply take action. Our approaches or perception of women is markedly different. Women are memes that are attracted to memes. Women like chad, women like x y z, who gives a fuck? Dude could have been fucking 10/10 hookers and smoking meth.

I feel really bad for him. I wish he could have found something else to channel himself into. He was in an echelon of society so far beyond what most people will ever be in. I find that the problem with rich as fuck kids is that they literally do not have any hobbies or interests whatsoever. There was nothing for him to practice, nothing for him to hone his skills in. He could have had an enriched, amazing life.

>I find that the problem with rich as fuck kids is that they literally do not have any hobbies or interests whatsoever. There was nothing for him to practice, nothing for him to hone his skills in.
He was interested in philosophy, history, politics, architecture, fashion, photography, travelling and foreign languages. He was good at writing, studying, photographing and also liked arts&crafts, at least when young. He also had superb memory. He could've exelled in many areas, if only his passion for women had not been in the way. He could not concentrate into anything, since the things he wanted most and a lot more than anything else in the world, were women and sex. That is why everything he did, he did to get those things and it ate away all possible passion for those things in itself. He was destroyed by his unfullfilled desire for women and sex.
>>
>>36127847
"...ate away all possible passion for those things HE DID in itself."
>>
i believe he did go to parties and did have a shot with women at those parties, but he was reportedly super fuckin' creepy and demanding about it

i've been to plenty of parties, well, not anytime recently, but plenty of parties, and i never got any opportunities like he did at them

he even took trips around the world with his friends and sat in the hotel like a little bitch when > lack of gf got too much for him

man i've never taken a fucking trip anywhere without my family

now that i think about it... i'm fucking mad about this shit... time to open Word and write MY manifesto!!!!!

I've listened to the audio book version twice now. (over 20 hours total).

It's the most significant thing I've ever read. As someone else who grew up lonely and with terrible social anxiety, I've never been able to anyone else as closely.
>>
>>36129234
Dr. Charles Sophy was the lead psychiatrist on Celebrity Rehab

Elliot's parents basically sent him to a psychiatrist for rich snobs. I wouldn't be surprised if they had zero connection, it's no wonder Elliot wanted to stop seeing him.
>>
>>36129338

Elliot also mentioned that it was a waste of time. They also set him up with "social coaches" basically Chad's who try to mentor him, which was a terrible idea and ironically counterproductive.
>>
>>36129365
All he would do is ask them about the girls they fucked and then end up hating them
>>
>>36129407

Yup, it just fueled his envy. I think James was his only hope. It could have just been a coincidence, but I think the end of their friendship was the last fray in the string to break.

Remember to disconnect from the internet tho, when writing, and rather save it on a memory stick.

Also he only went to one parties, aside from numerous family parties, and that happened in July 20th, 2013. You can read about the tragic events at the parties in his manifesto, starting from the page 121.

http://abclocal.go.com/three/kabc/kabc/My-Twisted-World.pdf

I believe the picture related was taken just before the parties.
>>
>>36129486
I really want to know in James's own words what Elliot told him during their second to last encounter. It was one of the few instances where it seemed Elliot was reluctant to give a full disclosure of what happened or what was said.
>>
>>36127847
wasn't he only into things like philosophy and history because they'd allow him to become powerful enough to attract a gf, tho? i feel like if he actually gave a shit about any of the classes he took at UCSB he wouldn't have been so inclined to leave whenever he saw chad chadding about with girls
>>
>>36129528

>>
>>36129528

>>36129647
He probably had some genuine interest in those fields too as he was an intelligent, thinking person, but all of that genuine interest got overcome by his overwhelming desire to attract women, so in the end there was no other reason than that for anything he did, except maybe his dreams of molding the world to be what he wanted it to be. Also he was totally incapable of controlling any impulses caused by outer stimulus, like his feelings of angst when seeing those couples in the class room, so he had to leave. He was ill that way, and his crap psychiatrists could not put their fingers on it.

>>36129660
It was tragic from his point of view that you will notice if you read his description of it all.

>>
The guy has an obvious narcissistic personality disorder. He thought everything should be handed to him. He clearly had depression and some other problems too. He should've sought help, he had a clear hate for this world. Religion is a good way to heal yourself, literally any religion would of helped him see things in a more positive light.
>>
It's such an interesting read. While I didn't actually read it I listened to the audiobook MumkeyJones did. Elliot is an interesting case to look into because of how much he left before he did the shooting. He had such a fucked life, and if he had a better upbringing he could of had a decent life. Everything could of been set up for him if he wasn't so autistic about his approach towards everything. His parents are really to blame for everything that happened, but they would never take the blame.
>>
>>36127375
its a real peace of masterclass desu
>>
>>36129647

He was doomed at USCB before he even started. Keep in mind he already dropped out of two different colleges previously.
>>
I just finished reading it a week ago and it made me think:

"What a fucking coward"

That whole manifesto was one giant "It isn't my fault" crap. It's just "oh woe me, it was women/society/my parents/chad who made me kill people" (this coming from a guy who never (EVER) approached a single woman or guy before, not even with friendly intentions. Which takes me to another point:

This guy actually REJECTED friends. That's right. He constantly described how lonely he felt, yet... he had friends and people to hang out with: roommates and neighbors who talked to him in the dorms and even invited him a few drinks and, I don't know, could introduce him to a girl if he asked them; hell, he even stopped hanging out with his uni friends because "they had nothing to offer" (translation: *they couldn't get me laid*)

So, yeah, this murderer was the greatest loser that ever lived IMO.
>>
>>36129956
Religion only helps to a point. The whole philosophy of religion inherently clashes with the fact that the world is fucked up, unfair, and filled with awful people.
>>
It was a very poor read. Elliot was not a man of words, and honestly I've read greentext posts here that made for better prose. I had to skip large portions of it, not because they were boring or embarrassing but because they were incredibly dry and monotonous.

Oh, and he was a cunt even by robot standards. Just a whiny little richfag bitch who never had a truly bad experience in his life outside of the ones he brought on by being an unlikable faggot. Most robots are pitiable creatures, the creation of circumstances and genetics. Most robots had no chance. Elliot, however, could have been fine if he weren't personally such a despicable self-centered narcissistic piece of shit.

1/10, would not recommend

"In November, my brief friendship with Andy, Stan, and their group faded away. I often saw on Facebook that they did things together without even inviting me, which is the same thing I've had to experience with other groups of friends that I've had in the past. I was always an outcast, even among people I knew. I grew tired of their lack of consideration for me, so I stopped calling them. They weren't even popular anyway, and I wasn't benefitting at all from their friendship. I still continued to meet with Andy at restaurants on occasion, however." MTW, page 94.

You really are acting like a bully, aren't you. First you attack someone in order to degrade that person either to upgrade your own self or to pursue some other goals, and then as someone points out what you are doing, that is bullying, you quickly make up some totally groundless counter accusations to make the person revealing you look guilty. Also, everyone sees that even if you can not really bully a dead person, your behaviour is comparable to bullying, that is degrading someone to the point they do not deserve to be done. He's been dead for almost three years already so he does not deserve shit like that anymore. You are entitled to have a negative opinion of him or anyone, but the way you put it, shows that you are a bully.

Also if someone points out that you are clearly bullying someone, it has nothing to do with them being normal, or from tumblr. This place is teeming with bullied people so we do not want any bullying here.

> This is a place where I can recognize that you are a humongous cock-loving faggot and then call you a nigger. Nigger.
You think that that's somehow going to annoy me?

I guess people are attacking him so viciously for no reason (as it happened long time ago) because it is so very easy to attack a dead person. And that is so pathetic I don't think these people are even worth communicating with, really.

"The second counsellor that was assigned to help me was a girl named Sasha. She was only a year older than me. ... At first, I didn't want to have a female counsellor, but when I was introduced to her, I saw that she was quite a pretty looking blonde. I couldn't refuse the opportunity to hang out with a blonde girl, despite the fact that she was a hired friend. It was the only time in my life that I had the experience of spending time with a girl my age, and even though it was all fake, I really enjoyed it. I felt so much better about life after each time we met. But then, I thought about how unfair it was that I could only get a fake little taste of such an experience, while other men get to do such a thing every single day with their girlfriends. Eventually, Sasha had to move out of Santa Barbara, and I decided not to have any more female counsellors. It has the same effect as hiring a prostitute, I imagine. It temporarily feels good for the moment, but afterward it makes one feel like a pathetic loser for having to hire a girl when other men could get the experience for free."MTW, page 120.

Pretty crappy manifesto. Inconsistent, yet repetitive. Inaccurate. Unreliable narrator makes it impossible to get a real understanding of what happened all the way throughout.

Could have been thought provoking if he assessed sexuality and social anxiety with a stronger insight. But he just kept on ranting relentlessly instead.

>What do you mean by that? He recalled almost every single detail of his life very accurately.

Not really. For example, he claims to have seen Finding Nemo at a hotel room in late 2002-early 2003. The movie came out in May 2003. There's absolutely no way he could have seen it before it even got a press kit.

Or how he claims his flat neighbors avoided him and mocked him when they actually tried to hang out with him.

I really doubt that his public sperg outs were real too.

I "understand" his mind. It happens to be the same mind most whiny betas and entitled spoiled brats have.

I'm aware of that mistake. It's possible he recalled some of the things wrong, as he did not have any journal from his childhood or early teenager years. Do you remember every single detail of your life that far?

>Or how he claims his flat neighbors avoided him and mocked him when they actually tried to hang out with him.
Part of his roommates tried to befriend with him and he rejected them, part he actually enjoyed having conversations with and part he could not stand and had problems with. Also some of his neighbours tried to hang out with him too but he could not really interact with them.

>I really doubt that his public sperg outs were real too
I believe they are. There is even a police report about two of them, the one at the parties in July 2013 and the other at Goleta Beach parking lot in May 2014. If those are true, the rest are probably too.

>same mind most whiny betas and entitled spoiled brats have
That is a shokingly superficial assessment, that you give only because you want to punish him for his crimes.

>inconsistent
It progresses logically (chrono- and otherwise) and has just the right amount of foreshadowing and flashbacks just in the right places.

>repetitive
Part of Elliot's style is to say roughly the same thing twice, with different words on both times. There's nothing wrong with that. It helps readers to understand what he's trying to say. That is, if they don't get it the first time, they probably comprehend the message the second time (or vice versa).

There's also another type of repetitiveness in MTW: some things happen again and again. I'm sure Elliot did it on purpose, to show the readers his life was stagnating, going in a cycle over and over again. In fact, he directly points it out in at least one paragraph, which is about Christmas and New Year's Eve (and finds this repetition amusing).

>inaccurate
Elliot's friends and family as well as documents about his life (including but not limited to "rare Elliots") confirm that what is in MTW is mostly true.
>>
>>36127375

I read the entire thing with a friend one evening

It was so laughable edgy and just plain ridiculous, seeing him describe mundane everyday struggles as "true suffering" and adjectives like horror and pain

The guy was a narcissist with a trust fund, he had everything had an above average life but he was just to thick, to deluded to see straight, his anger and hate completely misplaced.

His smug stupid face his fuckin name, this guy is like a hallmark in being a narcissistic fuckboi.

He didn't have to work for shit, his parents cared for him he had a decent upbringing, he wasn't an outcast, he doesn't look ugly, he's above average, his dad was ambitious and an actual ok person he even ent to the red carpet of the hunger games i believe, he's so deluded that he was "flipping people off behind his back" this fuckin guy.

How any can sympathize with him is way beyond me, some of the people he killed prob had lives far worse than him, all he sees is "his unique suffering" when in reality he was just a sorry sad fuck with a decent live.
