I went for sushi. The highlights were:

Cooked some lean beaf with onion, bell pepper and onions, slapped some canned tomato sauce and cooked some rigatoni al dente. Mixed it all together, topped it with some shredded pepperhack and ate it with toasted sourdough bread.

It's simple. Buy things in bulk to save money in the long run and go shop in cheap stores like mexican stores or something.

A giant bag of white rice is like 5-10 bucks. A giant bag of pinto beans is the same price. A large bag of potatoes runs like 2-3 bucks. This can easily last you for a few weeks and will serve as the base for your foods.

Then just buy whatever vegetables catch your eye. Then buy meats in bulk. Going to a cheap mexican butcher in a hole in the wall store, you're bound to find some cheap meats there to cook.

Invest in spices because otherwise your food will be bland and boring or salted enough to clog your arteries in the long run.

Also eat healthier shit like oatmeal. I make oatmeal pancakes that taste better than the shitty powder mix and it fills me up for the day until the afternoon.

then i had a portion of rice cooked in beef stock and soy sauce
