>tfw I've never actually taken anything seriously in my life and never gave 100% effort
>the few times I came close I was always way better than anyone else

and my life is in shambles, what a waste
>>

You still have time to turn it around anon. Could always make a website and try to turn it into a company
>>
>>36081066
>>I was always way better than anyone else
Why do you think that is? Nobody puts in 110% all the time. You're just like everybody else.
>>
your sample size was TINY.

there are millions of people better at everything you've ever attempted.
>>
>>36081113

it's just weird, I really like art but art has very little value compared to other careers but I still wanna make it work

I could join any university I want in my country, even now, I just have very little motivation to do something more practical like math or engineering
>>
>>36081174
Yeah I know how you feel anon. Many people are in this same situation. If you really want to try and pursue something in art later in life, you could try going marketing or comp sci, and try to spin your career within a few years of working into something more art related (such as graphic design)
>>
>>36081066
I can relate.
I feel like I've never given my best at anything. I don't think I would even know how.

>be above average in virtually anything i've ever done
>never really applied myself
>zero motivation
>always just go with the flow and avoid challenges
>have massive superiority complex based on this theoretical nonsense
>legitimately believe that if i entered my final form i could easily be ultra chad
>>
>>36081609
This desu I constantly think I'm better than everyone even with the insurmountable evidence that they're already working in big firms like pwc.

Can't be healthy lads, at least I'm finally studying finance and not wasting my time
>>
I think I'm better than everyone else while simultanously hating myself and not ever wanting to be anyone else

I was always better than those surrounding me at whatever I did but I never gave a shit about literally anything
>>
>someone does better than me
>"well that's just because they worked hard not because they're actually smart"
meanwhile i'm over here with a fried brain from years as a porn addicted NEET
>>
>>36081801

OP here, I never said. It's easy to admit there are millions of people smarter than you, if you really are smart. It's part of a logical observation.

My original and only point is I do consider myself intelligent, and wasted that intelligence because I never put in hard work into meaningful pursuits (based upon my own specified path).

Iktf. I don't even know what sustained 100% effort would look like. I get really psyched and try my best for like half an hour before I run out of steam. Tried so many things and couldn't last a month. I genuinely did(do? 25 now ;_;) have talent in a lot of areas, but I didn't put any effort into developing those into something that could make money so now I'm stuck doing the things I have zero talent in for a living. Just fucking kill me
>>
>>36081066
>don't try and I'm still better than 99%
Kek if I try I literally just btfo everyone else but I am a lazy shit and I rather just stay better than 99%
>>
>>36081609
No, you are indeed the superior being, all their pointless struggle would be blown away if you even tried a bit. No need to try, there is proof you are the superior being, you just don't wanna play their game.
>>
>>36081801
>the "smartest" of the class tied with me in the first exam
>literally got BTFO when he realized I was the only one with a 100 in the second exam
Seems like the poor guy took it personal because after that he was slightly above me, but I never ever gave a shit to begin with.
>>
>>36081066
Don't feel too bad man. I actually put effort into things and I'm still miserable.

>play in band throughout school
>start with trumpet at age ten, do mediocrely due to asperger fine motor skills
>switch to trombone junior year
>don't practice at home because I had just gotten into TF2 that year
>despite that become reasonably competent within a week, the slide just clicks with me since it doesn't require finger dexterity
>first chair within two weeks
>most technically skilled player within three weeks (on a fucking trombone, usually considered slow and clumsy)
>teacher keeps pushing me to try some honour band thing
>go once and get accepted and placed first chair
>never show up again because I don't have a driver's license and my mom doesn't like me
>next year join after school jazz band
>just five of us
>we go to one jazz meet
>I play a solo on "mac tonight" (can't remember the actual name)
>thunderous applause after the solo (it was a seriously great solo, I was feeling it that day)
>we place first despite just having one trumpet, tenor sax, trombone, and a drummer and bassist
>teacher asks me what I plan on doing after high school
>tell him I'll go to college and keep playing
>go to college, sign up for jazz/symphonic band
>end up getting too much anxiety to meet the new bands and drop the classes

I bet I could actually get a job playing trombone if I had the social skills to apply to an ensemble.
