Here in Europe it was mostly just playing soccer.

My middle school and high school was combined. Using the locker room in 6th grade, I was shocked at seeing all the older kids walking around naked in the locker rooms using the showers. PE was really the only class I was good at. Didn't figure at the time that for some kids running was a new concept and always wondered why they just avoided any contact/passes etc. It's really hard to play football for example with newbs, because you are better off just playing with the mediocre/good players and ignoring the beginners. I guess if we had more PE in general you could kind of teach the basics to everybody, but the school I was in already cut a lot of PE hours over years which was kind of disappointing.

Funny because it never really shows up in movies or anything. Whenever there's a high school or college it's always the big football game at the high school football stadium. There's never a big dramatic moment at a high school baseball game.

Sorry, I'm Canadian so we just had swimming pools, basketball courts and soccer fields that were also used for rugby. Some schools have hockey rinks but baseball was never really a thing.

I was always jealous of the girls PE class, they did stuff like dance choreographies that was actually creative. We boys just played soccer all day every day.

I am a roastie and quite fat too. P.E. was the worst because in my school they would weigh us each one by one on a scale. The teacher would say the number out loud and some kid would write it down in her notebook. All the girls were 50-55kgs but I was 70kg. It was so embarassing.

Best part was gym didn't count on our averages, so as long as you got a 65 you were good. I'd usually leave after the teacher took attendance

Ironically dodgeball was my favourite sport.

I was terrified of Basketball and Football because the ball was solid, so it hurt when it hit you, but in dodgeball my terror of fast-moving balls became an asset and if they hit, they were specially softened balls anyway.

Still get uneasy even walking past a football field though. Being hit is a scary idea.

Depends entirely on your teacher and what he/she felt like doing. There are also 'free gym' electives where you can basically do whatever you want. I got to lift for 2 hours a day, do a couple study halls, then leave at lunchtime since I'd already gotten most of the bullshit stuff out of the way by junior year.
