But why though? I'm not being edgy, I literally don't understand the desire for kids... Isn't it just letting your instincts control your life? Making you give all your time, money, and energy for something that gives you NO benifits whatsoever? Why don't people just find a hobby or something? Having kids is really rewarding. Watching some little version of you learn and grow, getting to relive all the innocence of childhood through them, getting an excuse to go to fucking disney world.

Then when they grow up, you get a lot of respect and love and perks. I take my dad out to dinner every month, and I plan on taking care of him when he gets old. It's a lot better as a 50 year old guy to have a few kiddos who love you than to be alone or with nobody but a cold menopausal wife.

I find myself thinking the same way. Finally worked my way into a career where I can actually support a big family, but I'm middle-aged now, and all the women in my dating pool are at least in their 30's, which means a big family probably isn't going to happen.

You don't. I was a lucky robot who found a wife. It was the most real love I felt. After 4 years we got married. We decided we wanted a kid. She is pregnant right now, but now wants an abortion. Nothing is wrong with the kid. Soon after we separated. Trying to do ever thing I can legally, but is not enough.

pretty sure kids don't just turn out a certain way, and it has a lot to do with their environment growing up, and I intend to provide a good environment.
