I know many, many people who grew up with all of the above. Many moved countless times at a young age, came to the US speaking no English, and lived in poor single-parent families. They turned out fucking fine. Many of them went on to Ivy League colleges. Cause they weren't entitled cunts.

My best friend growing up lived with a neurotic, useless, divorced mother, an emotionally abusive stepfather, and a fat turd daddy's girl stepsister who would try to get him into shit all the time. He lived in a low income household, and went to public school. Now he's educated, swole, engaged last I checked, does charity missions around the world, and is generally doing great. Because he doesn't think the world owes him anything.
