I don't use it for either and I always regret even having like 3 beers if I hang out with friends or something. Doesn't taste great, but that becomes negligible quickly. With each drink consumed, the effect lasts much longer than is fun, so it just becomes a burden when I want to go to sleep. Can't sleep on it at all so I will stay awake until I'm like 95% sober at least. Always gives me a headache and makes me dehydrated no matter how much water I drink before, during, and after. Always makes my knees ache really bad the next day.
