I'd hopefully instill the desire to think critically of everything and help her want to make her own informed decisions about life. I'd want her to be skeptical but able to do her research on things. I wouldn't baby her or treat her like a dumb child but respect her, while at the same time not try to force her to see things the way I do. I'd also want to make sure she is respectful of herself and self-reliant, I'd teach her how to cook, how to maintain clothing, how to maintain a vehicle, how to have situational awareness of public dangers and how to handle uncomfortable situations. I'd find out what her interests are and try my best to learn about them and be supportive even if they weren't to my liking. Above all I would want her to feel like I'm a person she can trust with anything, a person who will always be there her when life is hard. And i would have to learn to know how to read my own parenting style so I can be flexible and adjust myself as she grows older and not blindly stick to my own parental ideology. I'll have to find the right way to let her know when she's fucking up because everyone responds to different kinds of criticism differently and I don't want her to resent me.
