4th Quarter Comeback Edition

There will be no comeback for me. I've lost all motivation, now I'm just hoping I can coast out on whatever grades I have so far.

First day of last quarter today (dropping out)

Leaving is what I do best, as I've done it many times now. And it is always this feeling of being in the "last something" that makes me want to leave. Last quarter here means I dont give a shit about anything.

What a great feeling. After my class today I'm going to go swim in a random hotel pool. Hopefully I dont get noticed so I can go there tomorrow too

I'm marking papers right now and realising I've pretty much decided who's going to pass and who's going to fail on the first day and there's little you can do about it.

A lot of "short" novels.
Virginia Wolf "To the Lighthouse"
Iris Murdoch "The Bell"
Muriel Spark "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie"
Joyce Araby's "The Dead" and "A portrait of a young man as an artist".

>>35995151
It's a 3rd year course. I can't be wikiing things for good grades anymore.
>>
>>35995041
It's only about 300 pages. You can read that in less than a day and comprehend enough to pass an examination.
>>
>>35995209
I have about 10 books to get through since I'm incredibly slowfag with my readings. Some of them are a fun read like Clockwork Orange, Miss Lonelyhearts, and The Day of the Locust (/ourguy/ btw) but As I Lay Dying is such a drag cause of the constant switch in narrative. I get that it's the appeal but damn is it hard to get through.

Afraid I can't help you. I'm in honours and of all the books you've listed i've only done protrait of an artist and that was in 2nd year which I spent drunk so I don't have any notes for it. Sorry bud.

I actually did a 180 in 3rd year and embraced my smartfag side. Now I'm on a scholarship. You can do it to!
>>

How do I embrace my smartfag side again? I've been going downhill since 12th grade, where I was uber smart mode, and did shit like memerizing 241 digits of pi for fun. I want to go back, but I've become so lazy.

I'm a freshman so take this with some prudence. In my first semester I had mathematics which is not impossible. It was a bit harder for me but I've done classical studies in hs so I'm not really an expert in math. Now I have microeconomics which are a different kind of math but still nothing impossible.
>>
>>35995754

I actually became depressed, which caused me to become antisocial so I just stayed in my room all day working. I realised I actually enjoyed it and the depression lifted and I kept the antisocial and workaholic sides of me. Literally quit fb, stopped going outside and became a smart volhiki.

>>35995712
yeah I'm in english and yeah you're fucked I'm an autist so I knew I wouldn't have a chance in any other field so I'm riding this out until I run out of money, make it as a novelist or kms.
>>
>>35995699
At least it would be something right?

I'm interested in many things, but this is the only career path I can see myself pursuing.
>>
>>35995785
Yeah I hate maths but it's doable.

My uni was founded by a private group of entrepreneurs so it's quite obviously capital-driven; I think it will be hard to find a "left leaning" economics university, at least here. But it really depends on the teacher. Most of them try to stay as neutral as possible, especially when they teach. If you're just taking a coffee with them they talk more freely. One of my current teachers has quite an obsession against the EU but it's the only one kek.
>>

I would happily give part of my income (not fucking 50% like now) after cuts on unnecessary spending by the Gov.
I would say 70/30 on let the poor die.
>>
I told myself I wasn't going to withdraw from any classes this semester but I'm fucking doing it. At least it's just one. I knew I had 3 big projects due in the next few weeks but I didn't work on them at all over spring break like a fucking moron.

Oh well, that just means that there are 3 classes I need to take in the fall to graduate instead of 2. Not a huge deal.

College can't be done if you have no friends unless you're smart.
>>
>>35995992
>Tax and spend or cuts
Without spending no money would enter the supply. Taxes and finance take money out of circulation. You can't have an economy without both. Deficits don't matter in the long term. You just need to understand what the levers driving the economy are and try your best to turn the dials to achieve a specific outcome. What that outcome is depends on who is in power.
>>
I was really convinced I wouldn't smoke weed this quarter but now that I'm here I dont know man

nah, maybe by 50-60, depends on your body type. My family have been construction workers and manual laborers for generations, and we average about 70 or so years old, so it's really dependent on you. It's insanely easy to get in, the average age of construction workers is almost 40 right now, so they'll higher a college aged kid starting at 20 dollars an hour in a minute. It's a tough job, but if you're young and fit you'll be fine.

I am currently sliding by with the minimum grade for a required course class (javascript II) I have a midterm due at the end of the week that i barely understand how to do and professor refuses to help thats also conveniently worth 20% of my grade. Can community plebs post post here? I'll be starting college in August.
Fall semester registrations for Pima started today, and at around midnight I applied for Pre Collge Algebra, Programming and Problem Solving I and Asian Religions for a Computer Programming Degree.
I was also thinking about enrolling in the National Guard while in college and after I get my Associates, joining the Navy and going to uni from there for a Bachelor's Degree in something that interests me.

I transfered to a university after spending 5 semesters at a CC. If you can afford it, stay at the University. Community Colleges fucking suck and feel like high school 2.0 and it just sucks for everyone

Summer? Oh fuck you are in for it if you are doing a 1-month program. It's difficulty depends on the professor teaching it. So far its the hardest course I've taken in college. Just go to class everyday.

There is something wrong with me senpai

If I don't get 100% or alteast top in class I become extremely suicidal

doesn't matter how much effort I put into it, after the exam if I feel like I've made a mistake I'll become very suicidal

what do?

Its already made me drop out once

In one of my classes that I was too lazy to study for I I had no chance at an anything above A-, I tried to force myself to study that I neglected everything else and ended up doing nothing & studying for nothing.

I dropped out because I didn't want shit passing grades

Any other anons not able to read any feedback or graded work because of fear of criticism? I don't even really know how I'm doing in some of my classes at this point.
>>
>>36008179
Fear of criticism will severely hinder you now and probably fuck you up worse when you get into whatever job your major lands you. Try your best to work on getting over it and you'll get better at things so much faster, because you can actually listen to what people tell you to fix/improve and do it

Yep. Same thing happened to me. Had three projects due week before last and got a 60 something on the one I'd worked the hardest on because I was too exhausted to finish it.

I don't know how people do this so easily.

After failing my first year at a uni and going to a cc, I feel much better and less stressed. The cc I go to is one of the best in the nation and the Stem courses are just as if not more challenging.

I got a B for my chem exam and Im on track to getting As in Calc 2, mechanics 1 and chem 1 for the semester. I didnt think it would get better and yet here I am excelling in school. I cant wait to transfer next year to electrical engineering
