Why does it feel like for me to be comfy I have to reach back into the past? I have to look at pictures of the rain to remind myself of that one time I was comfy so many years ago when I lived with my parents in a small town in the Midwest looking outside of my window at 2am mesmerized by the rain on a school night not caring what time I went to bed. I have to look at pictures of Japan to remind myself of when I grew up there for a couple years in my childhood exploring the city with my mom. Are all my comfy times behind me? I'm grateful for the memories but why can't I be comfy now? Living in a small 1br apartment in a city 1,000 miles away from the closest family member wagecucking my life away stressed out and drinking nearly every day. Are all my comfy times in the rear view mirror?
