The only friend I have that didn't quit runey staked 24/7 out of boredom. I used to hand him 5m at a time to stake for me and he always came out on top.

Last year a kid we used to play with in middle school way back got back in contact with us for a little while. He ended up getting killed in wildy and lost 100m. He turned around and spent $300 on OSRS gold (300m) and gave it to my staking friend as I happened to be at the arena with him since he was staking my money. My buddy had made me something like 20m prior to accepting the other guys. Somehow after profiting for me, he lost all the money the other dude bought within 45 minutes as he called him to stake 10m, 20m,50m at a time.

Surprised it's still around. RS3 is an abomination to me and so was most of the content toward the end of RS2. What was really sick about RS was that the economy was at one point based entirely around PKing and staking. When they removed the wildy in 2007 and added trade limits it felt like a completely different game. It wasn't about making an acc and being a badass it was about sinking time and hoarding wealth. The saddest thing is jagex having to RMT openly to players with bonds and that squeal of fortune bullshit that literally just gave out billions of gold to players for nothing..

The best part of it all is that they removed the wildy and added trade limits to help with all the phishers, RMT, bots, etc but it actually made it much much worse. I personally knew people who phished billions of gold and had transfer methods that meant they could easily trade up to 300-500m an hour off an account that stayed unpatched probably till this day.

I was one of the people that first caught onto recovering accounts and hit up an old database that an SQL snifferwhatever friend of mine had from years and years ago when we were making the first bots. We found thousands of Phats, crackers, disks of return, D'ween masks and whatever else you could imagine. Just took it and put them on the GE. Sold between ourselves to drive the prices to max and then left them in the GE as either items or currency and we'd keep max stacks in the GE while holding trillions in items/assets. Money was harder to hoard as you actually had to divide it. Most of my mules GE stacks were in items because items wont get sold, money will be used to purchase as its being held even if you are looking for insane illogical prices on insane illogical shit.


I was holding out on it all because I had faith fagex wouldnt ruin it but they did and I sorta just decided to shadow fuck with prices and currency. I though of the amazing idea to buy up all the small tim shit like flax and ashes and what not for "gazillions" of gold. It didn't work really well so instead I just brought the prices to like 50gp per fucking ashes and got my money back in no time then left it entirely.
