Being the only person able to give an intelligent response in art whenever the teacher asked a question.

The whole class would never raise their hands until I brought it up

Second year of uni, fine arts major (mistake!), had to attend visiting artist guest lecture series. No grade on this, you just had to attend 80% of the lectures in order to pass it. Some of those artists they brought in, no, actually the majority, of the artists they brought in were of the modernist """"found art"""" variety who basically went dumpster diving, hot glued some shit together, wrote a paper about what it was supposed to mean.

I realized then that the whole thing was a scam. All I wanted was to learn how to draw at something approaching a professional level and three quarters of the shit I had to take was of this worthless variety.

Don't ever major in fine art. If you must, go to a design school that does drafting and lots of courses on industry standard digital programs. Be warned there are no jobs. Those that exist are part-time temporary contract, usually bad pay, usually stuff you have no interest in and don't want to do.

I could have been a fucking Chad. Everyone knew me, I was a social butterfly, always partying.

I had girls throwing themselves at me, went on dates with beautiful girls, had girls try to fuck me, and each time I flaked out.

Not gay, just nerves and low self esteem. I was bullied a lot and unpopular as a child and never thought I was good enough. That I would just end up disappointing and that they deserved better.

I graduated a virgin. I often wonder how life would have turned out if I had just a little more confidence.

Moved to UK when I was 11 or something so I have Anglo-Asian accent also a bit of American since watch a lot of their shit when I was young. Had to do shitty presentation about a random influential artist. It's had to be exactly 10 mins. I can't speak to a large group even if it was around 25 coursemates, idea of it makes me nervous. My turn to show my presentation, speaking fine then 5 secs later, I got so nervous, full blown Asian accent comes out. Mumbled a lot, I am not even sure if coursemates understood me. EVEN I DIDNT KNOW I had full Asian accent. How is this is even possible. Asian like imagine Chinese and Indian Accent had a child. That's what I sounded like. Worst fucking 10 minutes of my life. I am now even more terrified to do speech/presentations in front of people.
