I live in flyover country so the shopping mall is one of the few activities to do in the winter time

I just happen to live near one of the largest Malls in the world with rides and mini-golf courses so its a bit of a different situation

I don't really like shopping but I like rooting around in the bargain movie bin at Wal-Mart to find something I might like for cheap. Its something me and my Grandpa used to do before he died.

It's in their nature. In the part of the brain where primal instinct resides. Primal instinct dictates the need to acquire as much resources as possible. Back in primitive times, resources were hard to come by. So their brain tells them to gather whatever they can. But because of the times we live in where everything is instantly available as long as you have the tools(money) to acquire these resources. Evolution doesn't work as fast as the rate at which our society evolves. Women tend to have an eye for beauty. At one time, it was a woman in charge of decorating your house after all. Most retailers play upon this. F21's sparkly floors, the chandeliers hanging in certain stores, down to the way products are arranged and presented. Men's sections tend to be focused more upon ease of access and selection while women's sections are based upon catching the eye as opposed to actually making anything easy to find. You'll have a lot more mannequins, posters, signage, and overall emphasis on physical presentation. Taurus, as a horoscope sign, likely explains this better then I could. I'm not saying buy into horoscopes, I'm say the description of an attraction to what is 'gilded' holds true. Trump tower is designed by a woman, for example. Look how it differs compared to many male architects' work.
