It was a mix of my own opinions and knowing what they wanted to hear. Weird class.

The problem is that both the general field of sociology is ttainted by obvious ideological agendas.

I mean, early sociology of Max Weber and Emile Durkheim was fine, but these days it's just one bullshit paradigm talking past the other bullshit paradigm with no possible consensus between both. Structuralism is bullshit, critical theory and Marxism are bullshit, feminism is bullshit, poststructuralism is bullshit, yet people in those paradigms still believe their trivial theories are of scientific value. It's no more rigorous than a political debate at this point.

I was told by many that getting a degree in sociology would be useless. A year after graduation I started a nonprofit, I'm also an EA to the CEO of a bio tech company and i'm getting ready to open a restaurant.
