I've done something terrible r9k. I was so desparate for friendship I started talking to the employees of a ski park I have a season pass to. I've been around 12 people talking smoking and drinking for the past 2 days, about 8 of which are staying in same 1 story 500 sqft place.. Tomorrow they want me to have dinner with their families with something like 30 people there. I was not prepared to be scrutinized by this many people, many of them are dating or married and having to explain why I'm single is making me anxious. Everyone is passed out now, only I am awake. I have the option to just ghost, get in my car and drive away. Or I could stay here and try to integrate. What do?

Um I don't think its anything to worry about being a single guy, especially around ski bum granola hippie types, a 30 person dinner will be large enough that you can fade into the background if you want and just have some basic Convo. Dinner parties are fairly low key I think, have a few beers chill out. It sounds like you've found a nice little squad of friends, It depends on how important the relationships are to you, but this could be a springboard into meeting other new people and perhaps a nice girl so I'd give it a shot if I were you but that's your call, guy
