Five months ago I had accident that forced me back into my parents house. After having my own place, a job I loved, while finding my way at school and in life I'm left destitute with a sliver of hope.

I spent three months recovering and over the last two months I've been back to regular bodily function over the last two. I spend a lot of my time doing nothing. I wake up, spend hours on my phone while in bed, go lift, do a little bit of homework then play Runescape. If I took my dreams and goals as seriously as I took my teammates on Runescape and GTA I might have something to show for my time.

My family doesn't suspect anything now, and I'm trying to get my shit together while that's still the case.

Nothing because I don't have a family, I live off SSI and I just do nothing all day.

They still think I'll ever get a job, I gave up a long time ago.

They support me financially and I live with them but I don't think they would help me much to get better (mental illness) if I asked them to and I don't want to because I feel like it's not their problem. My mom is the main one who gets angry at me and we argue a lot but she still enables me. I think she secretly hates me now atleast sometimes. I used to be very promising I guess. Teachers and everyone said I was very smart but honestly I skipped school all the time to stay home and play vidya or sleep and have never been consistent with anything in my life. Even if I start to do really well at something, I lose interest and drive and quit before I finish. Ain't that like the traditional way of life? I agree with things you mentioned except inheritance part. If you only got inheritance , but not the other 3, you'll end up broke in no time. If you have the other 3 but no inheritance, you could still make something for yourself.

Though I can see why inheritance part is important in todays world, since basic needs like home in nearby profitable location/jobs became too pricey for young first house owner.

I'm extremely grateful I have food and shelter, but also pissed that I live near no jobs (not an exaggeration our entry level job market is a few cities over), have no car, no money, and no help with employment. Parents just gave up after college. They can't get me a job because they work in education and medicine and I don't have the qualifications for either and both would take at least 2 more years of depression.
