Its like telling me to not make money. The idea of money itself doesn't make sense but if everyone buys into something and you know it will improve your quality of life then why not use it to your advantage i.e. make money?

In the same way social media and social manipulation are tools that we use to improve our quality of life. If you can figure out a way to get hundreds of people to think you are awesome you have effectively made yourself happier and more attractive to girls.
