What's it like living there, especially in the city? Yes, it's normietown but I've been playing a lot of GTAV lately and as autistic as it may be, it's made me want to go out all alone to California and live in the city.

I grew up in the South and am going to college in the East. I have yet to venture to the West and I figure maybe I should keep my eyes peeled for a job on the coast somewhere?

Pros
>Climate
>Beach
>Epic city skyline at night
>Convenience
>Casual movement of people around to deter loneliness

Cons
>Full of normies
>Vapidity makes it difficult to truely connect with people and thus may make a person lonely
>Everyone is a tranny or SJW

Is it lonely though? I'm in college and will definetly graduate with no true friends. I've been thinking about how will I restart my life. Could this be it?
>>
>>35888381
I was thinking how I could experience GTA in real life:

>rent a boat out and imagine sniping normies
>go to parties and try and cop a feel from normieginas
>maybe start a YouTube channel about it?

It could serve as a bridge between Normie and Robot realms.

you're forgetting the droughts and the high cost of living, plus you need a car for going pretty much anywhere that isn't San Francisco

oh, and San Francisco has a problem with homeless people shitting in the streets by the way
>>
>>35888492
I figure the only thing stopping me from venturing Westward is whether or not I can hitch a good enough job there.
>>
>>35888492
There also aren't jobs here for shit. A lot of pretty girls though, especially on uni campuses.
>inb4 Mexicans

Also with the sjw and cali is very democratic and when the big evil trump won every cry baby liberal threatened to kill themselves. Was total bullshit couldn't even say anything good about trump without being labeled racist or given dirty looks.

Steal a jet and fly straight into a building. The building should entirely retain its composure, much like a tree or wooden pole.

I'm from San Diego, and now I'm living north of Santa Barbara. I've also lived in Mississippi, so I kind of have a comparison.

I would definitely take California over the South. I like the weather and the environment better
>>
>>35889193
How does the environment differ from boonsville?
>>
National City always reminded me of GTA, but less ghetto

Great idea, autists going to California to restart their lives has NEVER backfired.
>>
>Epic city skyline at night

lol, what the honest hell kind of pro is that

how do you imagine that the 'epic' silhouette of a bunch of buildings will cure your loneliness exactly?
>>
>>35888381
imagine yorkville ny but everywhere in california. a bunch of rich people stepping on poor people. but its quite nice if youve got money your self, dogs playing with each other freely in rich ass parks.
>>

A lot less white trash. A lot less trash in general. The beaches are way nicer too.
I almost cried when I went to the beaches in Mississippi and found out that it was all just shallow pits of oil and filth with broken bottles and dirty needles in the sand.

Anyways, it's hard to explain it, but everything in SoCal is just... more nice.

I will say that I miss the food, but trading Cajun for Mexican is a pretty good deal too

California sucks dick

>>35889327
have you tried Boiling Crab? does it compare? where can i find good authentic south food on the west lmao
>>
>>35888381
Anon, you probably could not pick a worse place than LA to be lonely in. It will eat you alive.

I get if the beach is a deal breaker for you but consider something more mid-coast, or the Bay if you don't mind better weather, people, and culture.

But yeah, come out here, my friend. If you can make it out here you can truly make it anywhere.

>find someone willing to let you live with them
>rent and utilities ain't cheap
>two well-groomed, socially common-sensible robots on disability could split a decent 1br apartment
>bedroom for one, living room home office with half bunk bed for the other
>disabled people can also get free or discounted TAP card to ride bus and train all they want
>bus and metro line to the beach
>weed will be recreational soon
>some dispensaries give away weekly/monthly "compassion" weed to patients with disabilities
>can wear a backpack pretty much everywhere to carry all your shit

Trannies and SJWs are too far up their own asses to bother you doing your own thing.

$550 for rent is comfy enough for me desu, but initial move-in and set-up costs is pretty expensive.

If you don't mind living in the ghetto part of L.A., they don't care how much like a slob you dress. I go out in wife beater and basketball shorts and am the only white person in stores and on the bus, no one does anything.

Vapidity is basically the normies having had bad experiences with ugly crazies and now being over-cautious.

I recommend starting around the USC area, Vermont/MLK near the football stadium and working your way through apartments with parking spots that you can rent out during games. If you can nab a 1br for under $1100, go for it. I think Koreatown's a bit too gentrified by now, so go south and don't be afraid of people who are just trying to get by like we all are.

Laundromats are a good way to people-watch and pass time on your phone doing reading or listening to language audio lessons.

Just some helpful tips! Good luck!

I live in LA.

The weather is shit, it's summer 3/4ths of the year, with most days being hellish, and this is one of the fairer cities as far as weather is concerned.

If you're white, you WILL stand out. Outside of rich areas, you will not be the majority race. I've grown up in California and am used to that, but you probably won't be.

If you want to get a job here working as a fast food worker or a gas station attendant, you ought to know Spanish, because if you don't, you won't be able to communicate with >50% of the customers that'll come to you.

Lots of great food, acceptable forests and mountains (something that, again, you might not be used to, but I supposed it depends on where in the south you are from).

It's very desert-y in the southern regions. The actual sandy desert is pretty nice, but you get used to it after a while, stops being appealing. It rarely rains, so it's very monotonous.

Everything is expensive as fuck. You also get taxed out the ass. This is especially true in LA. You'll always have homeless people bothering you. This state is also has SWEDEN YES tiers of bullshit (we tried to regulated pornographers to be FORCED to use condoms on set). We have a whole bunch of ridiculous laws that limit all sorts of random freedoms (like the age to purchase cigarettes was recently raised to 21). I think this state is actually 49th on the list of 'free-est states'.

The southern end is the most liberal, the northern end (particularly past San Francisco) is much more conservative, but also obviously has less people.

If all of this sounds appealing, then this is the State for you. For me, personally, it makes me want to hang myself.
