I made a post here a while ago about asking if anyone here does street art or graffiti but no one responded....
I'm really interested in it and want to try it.
So how exactly do you do it?
What is the best way to get started?

stickers if your a pussy, if you live in the US you can get postage stamps sent from the post office for free. If your not a pussy just go straight to markers or cans. I would advise picking a name and then writing it a lot and trying to make it look better. Something for new writers is to just keep it simple don't try to do crazy shit day one. Some of the best writers in my city have very simple tags.

Thats why you do it at night this hobby goes hand in hand with nightwalking. Its comforting to be on your own at night for me things are way different during the day if you live in a big city. People are nicer and there is a feeling of mutual understanding just because its super weird to be outside at 4am. graffiti is comfy for me.

Also what happens if it is 4am and you are doing graffiti and a police officer sees you or someone approaches you? What should I do if I am confronted with that situation?

If its just some random person you should probably just stop and walk away just in case they call the police. If its the police you should probably run unless they have you cornered or are like right behind you or something. This all kinda depends on location as well. If you live in a big city police don't care as much, if you live in a small city with like 0 graffiti they'll hunt you down. I wouldn't recommend doing it at all if your in a small city. I go out that late but that also depends on location and what you feel like doing. Police die down at like 2-3am around here(im the Milwaukee anon). ive never be caught or seen but some big writers from the 90s around here actually got pretty big sentences for all the bombing. Its worth looking up local cases and stuff to see if its really something you want to try.

I dont mind the questions i dont get to talk to anyone about this.

To add to this, you cant be charged with graffiti unless police see you or someone tells the police and knows you you are. The people that i talked about got busted because they had 100s of cans in there house and had pictures of all there pieces.

I live in a pretty good sized city (not super big). There's tons of art everywhere here. I get inspired by looking at all of the awesome artworks I see just by going outside.
ALso, I'm really afraid of running from police because of this childhood experience:
