desu i know the feel, ive gotten full scholarships and a 4.0 while cutting class and slacking. i hate doing work so much and im a lazy drug addicted fuck. i still have employment but i sometimes need to rig shit to procrastinate or whatever out of laziness. i'm actually smart too, i have published scientific research and a phd. so it is a real thing but some people who are dumb use it as an excuse.

This basically never happens. Regardless of how smart you are you will have to compete with people who are either as smart or smarter than you who also have mastered their craft since their first infancy.
