It gets slightly more oil from Canada, but it's only a fraction. Mexico, Nigeria, Venezuela, and Iraq also make up significant portions.

I feel like this is a safe bet in a ton of ways, but public opinion still attaches a stigma to it. The bigger problem is population. We're overpopulated and even overcrowded in large areas of the world. It's probably the biggest contributor to the behavioral sink. Then there's also the fact that having such a large population and a finite supply of antibiotics is a time bomb on top of climate change, desertification, acidification of the oceans, and the almost exponential increase of violence corresponding to increases in population.
It's a self correcting problem, but that doesn't mean it won't be violent.
