If you're a foreigner and you live in a small village then you're going to have a hard time. You should move to Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, or San Sebastian. Lots of people, very friendly, plenty of foreigners too so wherever you're from you'll find some people from your country (I assume England, USA, or Germany bcause you speak English?).
