Eh, ethnic makeup doesn't bother me. They take one look at my 4'11" stature and one eye and recognize me as part of "the struggle". I'm the only white guy in most stores and on the bus and never got shit for it.

OTOH even when I dress up to the nines in a suit and tie, I still feel like a fucking zoo animal in nicer neighborhoods like Silver Lake or North Hollywood. Defective whites aren't white enough for them. And besides, I can't afford to live in nicer neighborhoods.

I don't think it's so much as part of 'the struggle' it's just being able to write you off as someone they can safely put in their 'kill this guy later' pile. They got higher priorities on folks they can execute when everyone can agree on a time they can riot.
