I can't say how shit works in the UK, but in the US, here's my advice-
Become an agorist. Become a heavy black market user.
I'm not saying you have to sell shady products, I'm saying you just have to sell them outside of the government and its taxation.
You can sell to the highest bidder and rack up cash fast.
It should help you live solo just fine.

Literally anything. If you have access to them, drugs. If not, start collect valuable objects and sell those.
Your best bet, in my eyes, would be to get some cannabis seeds and some grow lamps. Learn how to grow pot before you leave your house, then once you know how, start growing when you leave.
Or, of course, just sell other goods you collect.
