4'11" here, so even if I weren't blind in one eye, I'd still be a failure.

It used to be light blue. I had retinal detachment when I was 4. Doctors told me that they've seen it in "shaken baby syndrome," which wouldn't surprise me given my family past.

The yellow could be a result of lack of oxygenated bloodflow, so it couldn't retain its blue pigmentation any longer. That's a theory given by a retina-vitreous surgeon.

Movie characters wear an eyepatch all the time. In reality, it blocks airflow and gets hot and sweaty and itchy under there. The blind eye weeps involuntarily at times and I have to dab at it with a handkerchief, which means moving the patch up onto my forehead like an awkward fucktard while I perform ocular maintenance.

I do wear it in short spurts when it's absolutely necessary, like job interviews and such. Invariably, they always ask "Oh man can I see? I bet it looks cool under there!" Doesn't end up impressing them as much as it does anons on here. People still treat it like it's a weeping open wound however.
