Later he asked me if it was an infatuation which made me a little upset. I also told him I had anger issues sometimes and he asked if I ever punched holes in the wall and covered them with posters of my waifu as a joke. It was pretty funny but I guess he doesn't know yet how serious I am about her.

Yes, please tell him, it's absolutely not something they can put you in the mental hospital for. In pretty much every western country it's only for if you have plans to hurt yourself or someone else that they can institutionalize you, and in my state if there's suspicion you're harming a child or a vulnerable adult as well, talking to your waifu falls under none of those categories.

Therapy has helped me a lot, I can go outside and do things. I wasn't able to do that, I wageslave now which is better than where I was, I wouldn't say I'm 100% cured (yet) but I have some confidence for the first time in my life since being a kid.
