Are the politics in other countries anywhere near as fucked as ours?

Im not too keen on the political happenings of other countries, and I don't mean fucked in regards to who was elected, plans they've implanted (or are trying to) or movements in general.

I'm talking about how it's done.

Hillary was going to concerts and taking selfies with pop stars, going on a radio show hosted by a black guy and talking about how she carried around hot sauce, and probably some other similarly stupid shit that I can't even remember.

Then you have Trump and his autistic tirades on Twitter. Obama responding to tweets on a Saturday Night Live show.

It honestly seems childish, are Americans just so retarded that we can only pay attention to politics when it's on social media, or is this problem occurring in other places with the new young voters?
