Never been catfished but I imagine it's something you can't really avoid. Unless the catfish is glaringly obvious.

I got cat fished once when I was like 15 thank god it wasn't that bad. Never trusted anyone online again after that.

I was the catfish. The one I fell in love with stopped speaking to me after he found out. But then again, he was pretty stupid since all of the photos I sent could be reverse image searched and showed up. I do sound like a convincing girl though.
