>tfw rosacea
Anyone else know this feel? I can barely go outside without my face flushing and looking in the mirror causing me to begin to get red blotches on my face.

I went to the dermatologist and she just non-nonchalantly said that it was my natural skin tone.

On top of that I have disgusting large pores and some acne scars.

I don't know what to do. I always look like I'm sick.

Pic related is me yesterday during a bad flare up.
>>
>>35836139
I think your skin looks still good.
>>
>>35836139
I got seborrheic dermatitis and pinpointed the causes to eating junk food, stress and no sleep.
Does rosacea disapear at all or you look like in my animes all the time ?
Also be my gf.
>>
>>35836139
I'm assuming that's really you. And you look like a girl. I'd still go out with you. Acne really doesn't mean very much to me as long as it's not actively erupting in a flurry of frothy puss.

If anything, your problem gives you the visual indication of a blush which is moe. Congratulations, you're a ka-why chinese cartoon.
>>
>>35836246
>tfw also have seb dermatitis
its a curse on my life, thankfully washing my face and putting cream on my face every day is good enough to keep my skin from flaking.

I cant do anything about my beard and hair dandruff though
>>
>>35836139
That shaved stache tho xDDD

Okay a few q's
Do you shower with hot water?
Do you apply facial moisturizer?
Do you wear sun cream?
>>
>>35836287
>I cant do anything about my beard and hair dandruff though
Only solution i've found is keep it short and get a shampoo with Ketoconazole.
>>
>>35836309
Yeah I never claimed I was attractive in any form..

I have coarse dark hair so I always have a shadow no matter what I do.

>Do you shower with hot water?
Yes
>Do you apply facial moisturizer?
Yes
>Do you wear sun cream?
I barely leave the house but I just started applying it whenever I do leave
>>
>>35836139
Don't worry OP, it doesn't really look bad.
>>
>>35836246
Yes it appears to come and go randomly during the day.

>>35836276
Yes that's really me. No, I just look like a freak. But yes it is very obviously when I'm blushing and my entire face gets red.
>>
>>35836350
I was just memeing. Anyway
>Do you shower with hot water?
How hot is hot? My face used to be awfully red too albeit not as bad as yours, your case of redness is severe. I used to shower with very hot water and I solved my issue by showering with mildly warm water. Coupled with the sun cream I think over time your skin should get better a bit but if you want to get rid of it all go see another dermatologist.

I get pretty bad dandruff it gets in my eyebrows, beard and mustache. Worst part is my nose and the skin on the side of my nose starts flaking and turns really red. It randomly flares up pretty bad but after years of trying different shit I found Nizoral shampoo to work (ordered off amazon). It's over the counter and not too expensive. I basically use it all over my hair, facial hair, and face when I'm starting to have flare ups and it goes away. Untreated or if I use lotion or other products it gets worse and worse. I have no idea if it's psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis and I don't know shit about rosacea but hopefully this can help some robot out

Oh! and, OP, shower with cold water exclusively, except for washing out your hair.
You'll need warm water to clean your hair well, especially if you use any products,
BUT,
shower your body and face with cold water. Just ignore the discomfort, it goes away.
Cold water keeps your pores smaller, doesn't dry out skin (which causes it to get oily later), and it is good for blood circulation.
>>
>>35836767

It has contributed to the failure I am today. I didn't play sports in high school because my face gets so red when I exercise. I do it now, but in school I was way too self conscious. It was the first ugly thing that I noticed about myself, before I noticed my nose and weak jaw/chin. My hairline is also receding. I'm basically a dead man walking

Up until 2 and a half years ago I had perfect skin. It had a very pale white complexion with an even skin tone and was soft looking.

Now it is horrifically red, blotchy, rough, flaky. It flushes for no reason and sort of feels greasy. My skin wen from something I could take pride in and one of my best physical attributes to looking fucking disgusting and almost disfiguring.

I have no idea what the fuck happened.

Eczema is greatly aggravated if you do not have enough fat in your diet. I'm not sure about rosacea but having enough fat will do wonders for eczema.

The reason for that is when you dont have enough fat, your skin cannot produce as much oil and thus moisturize the skin.

Try maintaining 0,9g of fat per 1kg of body weight per day. The best quality source of fat are almonds, then walnuts and hazelnuts. Avocados are also very high quality source.

And no at this amount of fat you will not get fat, that is mostly from excessive carbohydrates.

My acne is in its final stages & really isn't that bad, but the fucking damage it did to my cheeks & nose skin. Looks like a combination of Raqqa & the fucking moon.

I'm hopefully going to get some laser treatment for it in the next year or two. It's not that bad but it ages my face by years.

Try some azelaic acid, if you can get it.

About 18m ago I suddenly developed really bad flushing/red patches under my eyes and on my forehead. First doctor I saw didn't really care; said it was eczema, told me to just moisturise more.

Second doctor (over a year later) correctly identified it as rosacea and gave me a script for Finacea. I use it 2x a day with moisturiser too. It's cleared the red right up, put me back to my normal skin tone. Only downside is that it burns putting it on, but that's a common side effect and not a real problem.

The irony is my ex always used to complain I had great skin while hers wasn't great. I guess it was karma or whatever.

Not having good skin is actually quite detrimental for your mental health, but I guess you all know. Especially as a kid and teenager I was really disgusted from myself.

I produce too much scurf overall, especially on my shins (I guess it's a mild form of Ichthyosis vulgaris).

Also I have especially fought against neurodermatitis which showed up on my inner sides of the elbows, often also on my forearm and my neck.
I have many white scar spots on my arm.

And in general blotchy skin.
Nowadays the neurodermatitis only occures rarely.

So many people have perfect skin, or simply just dry, oily skin and otherwise it's as clean as it can get without any spots, I am envious.

There is nothing you can do, while others have bad hygiene and still have good skin.

I have tried many creams, but none have really helped.

I have adult acne. Face and chest. I have topical medications for it (trentenoin and clindimycin) but got lazy. Im going to be strict with them now and change my bedsheets and pillow cases every week, maybe even more than that. And I will start washing my face twice a day.

I've got this really bad as well. Obsessively wash my hands as well which doesn't help either

>>
>>35836139

My cheeks get red as FUCK for no reason. I don't think it's rosacea but it's definitely related. Face looks like a freshly washed tomato if I get nervous (which is often) or hot. When I'm calm/cool it's fine.

Got the same big pores, but nothing you can do about that, right?
>>
>>35842306

It won't help the redness but it'll hopefully solve my pores problem.

this works for normies who dont have chronic acne. i used to be on that shit religiously, with new sheets and everything just about every night, and it never helped. using cetaphil normal wash twice a day + whenever i felt greasy seemed to help relieve it the most.

>>

Instead of shaving, wax.
>>
>>35843640
I don't shave (I have almost no facial hair, besides the ingrown ones), but I did start putting a warm towel on my face a few days ago. I also gently exfoliate my skin and moisturize after I take a shower.

Hairs pop up in the same spots quickly so my face wounds rarely heal.
>>
>>35836139
That's got to be beyond frustrating to deal with.

>>35840483
Ryan?

You looks exactly like a guy I know irl, pretty cool dude.
Anyways, if the rest of your body is any similar you look fine and rosacea just makes him looks like he's giggly all the time, which makes him more approachable like a teddy bear. Just focus on the self confidence part and you'll do fine. You might not be a chad but you're great husbando material.
>>
>>35843896
Sure, originally I was using a two bladed disposable razor (fresh one everyday). So I start by using warm water on my face for a few minutes, put a few droplets of shave oil on, use Cremo shave cream to get a nice lather then I shave slowly and carefully with the grain. Then I re lather and shave against the grain without pulling on my skin. Aftwerwards I put on saylic acid toner and my usual mix of lotions and vitamin C serum. At this point my face is a red stinging mess and I'm basically in tears. I have tried using a really nice single bladed safety razor in the past but it took twice as long and I bleed a LOT more. Recently I switched to an expensive electric foil razor which didn't give me a close shave but was gentler.. until recently when I had a huge break out in ingrown hairs which I missed work because of so I went back to the disposables..

>>35843994
I can't. In order to wax you need like a weeks worth of growth otherwise the wax won't pull. I can't just go to work with a weeks worth of facial hair much less one days worth. I have however spent 5 hours straight plucking each beard hair out which actually helps for a week before it all comes back again.
>>
>>35844190

Then what about that Nair thing? It zaps your hair instead of shaves or wax.

I guess with guys they're a bit more lenient but girls are attracted to that youngful, feminine look.

You don't exactly look youngful when your face always looks like it's having an allergic reaction.

I know the feel. My face is full of horrible scars from years of botched hair removal attempts.
>>
>>35845210
I have acne scars but my uneven skin tone, large pores and obviously the redness are my major concerns.

I hope I can figure this stuff out one day so I can finally look my age..

Good luck. I am currently looking into electrolysis to fix this shit, but its going to take like 2 years and thousands of dollars..
>>
>>35845823
Wow I haven't really heard of a girl getting electro on her face. Your condition must be severe.

I hope thinks work out for you anon. We deserve to look normal.
>>
>>35845163
how is it more lenient with guys?
we're the ones that have to approach girls, how the fuck can i approach a qt with noticeable acne scars?
>>
>>35836139
my hands arms and legs look like i literally have scales on them. fuck you.
>>
>>35846422
No I mean it's easier to get guys interested in you as a girl even with skin problems like mine. I wouldn't call myself attractive but I've had a few boys interested in me through the years in college.

With girls the whole dynamic is different. A lot of them are looking for very feminine women, at least the type of girls that I'm attracted to.

I act feminine enough but I don't look he part with my skin the way it is. I don't feel attractive.

I started a new aggressive ache medication last week. My face is all red and flaky and it burns. At least it'll get rid of the terrible clogs in my skin, it's been giving me headaches.
>>
Are acne scars treatable? Please be so. Fucking hate this shit ive marks all over face. Btw ive all kind of scars. Icepick to whatever all kind
>>
>>35847346
I have deep icepick acne scars and there's no sure shot cure I can find. I wasted over $1000 in laser treatments as a last hope, but the dermatologist says there's not much more I can do.

I have terrible acne and I thought for a second after seeing this post: "holy shit, maybe it's just in grown hairs, maybe I can fix it by not shaving for a while!"

Then i remembered it's on my nose, forehead, and back as well...

Does anybody else with severe facial acne use apple cider vinegar? If so, how long do you leave it on, and do you dilute it?

I haven't found any negative effects from leaving it on my face for hours, but some sites say to wash it off as soon as it dries. If I don't dilute it, I get a light burn on my entire face(I'm just not sure whether concentrated vinegar would be better despite the burns).

>>35847052
Actually I love that my bf has psoriasis. I love picking off his scabs and trying to get the biggest one ever. It's not all that bad
>>
>>35847614

I use acv on my face, hair and also drink it. It's very good for you anon but make sure you're getting Braggs and not some shit cooking acv. Basically you can just dilute some with water and rinse your face with it or use it as a toner and soak a cotton ball in it and pat it on your face. You don't have to wash it off just don't use too much that it would dry your skin out.
>>
Yes I have rosacea and it's acting up right now
>>
>>35847719
Yep, using Braggs. I'm trying to get used to drinking it. Thanks for the info, hopefully I'll see some improvement by not washing it off.
>>
>>35847791

Drinking it is really rough but worth it.. I put a spoonful in a glass of juice as often as possible. God speed anon.
>>
>>35847899
What benefits does drinking Braggs have?

I actually have a bottle in my bathroom that I mix with my face mask.

I would like to say OP that you don't know shit about skin feels

>Also popped a pimple in my head and now I got a baldspot pretty fucking lucky right
>>
How exactly do you get rid of acne?
My acne's not too bad but my face''s skin still looks like unevenly red shit due to it.
>>
>>35849526
vitamin c serum, .5 mm dermaroller for six months, facial moisturizer, cleanser, exfoliant once a week
>>
>>35844544
Yeah same feeling for me.

What worked in terms of moisturiser was washing the bottle throroughly, putting it next to my bed an only touching it when applying the cream. I always use it just before turning off the light and going to sleep, that way I don't have an odd feeling on my hands during the day
