So at what age did you grow out of anime?
>>35821270
You grow out of this stuff?
I'm still waiting to after 8 years
Help me pls
>>35821270
As soon as I discovered mangas don't have fillers
Actually I grew into it, I started watching it for the first time when I was 20, now i'm 21 and 14 series deep
never got into it.
so 0
>>35821496
Good anime don't have filler either
>>35821270
Why would I grow out of something which is plentiful easily accessible whilst having low standards. I can literally watch it for the rest of my life
24 nearly 25 close to 300 series watched, still watching seasonal anime.
I will never stop watching it.
>>35821670
I predict that you will
possibly due to a tragic death in your body
>>35821270
I grow into anime some 3-4 years ago because i was bored of american shit...but now I'm at a point that I've watched most ok things
>>35821777
I would say there are a lot of okay series, but if you feel like you're done with it, then nice trips and hope you liked the cartoons.
>TV: 223, OVA: 20, Movies: 66, Spcl.: 13, Eps: 4295, Days: 71.51, Mean Score: 6.1, Score Dev.: -1.57
This giant mountain of nothing that I have created for myself. I could have learned three languages by now if that was my hobby.
>>35821924
I'm right there with you. I don't rate stuff though. It feels too autistic, even for me.
In response to the OP: I didn't start watching anime until I was like 18 or 19 so I doubt I'll ever give it up.
>>35822033
Forgot my fucking picture, originally.
>>35822033
Rating helps me remember how much I liked a show. A lot of the stuff I saw was back during eighth grade so I forgot bits of plot.
>>35821270
Eh I stopped watching on the daily around 6 months ago I think. I started when I was 16 and I stopped because I just wasn't interested in any more series. Nothing that was coming out interested me, and I exhausted my niche of anime that I loved so I was just kinda done. I still enjoy it and if one of my favorite series brings back some content I'm sure I'll watch it. I have to know the end of one piece.
>>35821807
Last thing i watched was Urusei Yatsura...probably there are more good 70s and 80s shows...and i've never tried to go after some /m/ shit too
>>35822135
There's still good anime coming out seasonally though. You have to like moeshit i'll admit.
>>35822047
>>35821924
whats the point of keeping track of all that shit
I just watch
>>35822155
I don't score shit but i use it as a checklist because my memory is garbage. I just like to keep track of what i've seen and its handy for keeping track of what OVA's and specials you need to watch and shit.
>>35822153
I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the moe stuff, just doesn't interest me. Im sure I'm missing out on some good anime but I don't care enough anymore to check it out.
>>35822155
It's nice to be able to refer back to what you've already seen. You can also use it to check to see if there are any OVAs you missed. Plus I use a program that automatically updates the list so it's not like it takes any effort.
Maybe around the time when I was 20 and changed to only reading manga because there's more variety and less shit. Anyone who only watches anime is cancer. Even the Japs agree.

>nips
>valuable opinions
>>35821270
Think it took about a year.
Im too autismo to watch any tv/movies
I just pick holes in plots and ruin it for myself
>>35822366
but anime is autism heaven.
just watch cute girls doing cute things.
>>35822312
>I'm better because I don't enjoy this thing anymore
>you're a shitty person if you do
Riveting stuff you got there
>started watching anime as a kid with toonami shit like dbz
>be 12-13
>start seeing those shonen jumps around and start reading some
>see dragon ball stuff in manga form and realize there are sometimes comic and cartoon versions of the same stuff
>somewhere find announcement that stuff like naruto will be in english
>being a kiddo, enjoy the fuck out of the premise and can't wait and start watching it subbed
>catch up to it currently airing in japanese in 2004
>naruto just ended last week, in 2017
>out of some kinda of autistic shit, i have been keeping up with it every single week almost (sometimes don't watch it for a while and then catch up later)
>i'm twenty fuckin five years old and i watched anime and naruto for half my life
>literally have anime paused on a second monitor right now
does it ever end?...
>>35822343
Literally the only worthwhile thing from that whole place is manga.
>>35822212
holy shit are you me?
I have ~93 days watched on MAL and i literally don't have a single thing scored
I have god awful memory and if i didn't keep track of this stuff i would end up watching the first episode of things i've seen before a million times trying to remember if i've seen it already
Around the age of 25.
Against my will more or less. I just couldn't enjoy it anymore and I miss anime. I just don't seem to like any show that comes out. It all happened so suddenly too.
Moved on to watch films and live action drama shit.
>>35822366
Watch LWA, no plot to pick apart, and only cute witch girls doing cute witch things
>>35822545
>tfw they butchered the anime adaptation
>>35821270
I outgrew it around 11 or 12
now i'm generally indifferent to it
At 5 years old. When I realized that I wasn't gonna grow up to be a fucking loser living in my mom's basement when I'm 25+ years old and virgin.
>>35823648
>TV: 263, OVA: 49, Movies: 91, Spcl.: 20, Eps: 8021, Days: 137.35
>tfw 35 year old wizard living with parents
C-congratulations on your successful life, anon?
>>35823788
I'm at 50 days at age 18 having only started watching a couple years ago. I'm well on my way to becoming like you and I am very excited about that.
