I came to this conclusion myself a while back, I thought about all the people I have ever interacted with, some I might consider "friends"

as I went through the list I began to realize that all of them were only around me at certain points because they had to be (school or work related)

I now understand that no person has ever wanted to be around me if they don't have to, even at that my interaction with others has been extremely limited
