You have to actually force yourself to go into uncomfortable situations. It feels fucking horrible at first but eventually your anxiety will lessen the more you do it.

How did you beat Super Mario Bros? Did you quit when you ran into the first Goomba and died, or did you try again and hit more buttons on the controller? No, you kept playing that shit trying new things over and over and over again until it became second nature.

That's what you do, except IRL. Keep going out, keep trying different things, and figure out what works for you. You're going to fail a lot, and that's fine. No one will fucking remember even 10 minutes later, just like you don't remember the time when you died in Mario. But you will remember the successes, just like you remembered when you first beat Bowser.

It's going to feel weird.
It's going to feel uncomfortable.
But you'll adapt and get used to it, just like human biology has for hundreds of thousands of years.
