And this as well. I'd hardly say chess is even a real "mind sport." The reason autists excel at is -because- it's a game of rote memorization, and they love to focus all their attention on chess and only chess until they become savants at it.


Games with a minimal degree of chance (say, backgammon) are a lot more fun and strategic because they make you think on your toes. Also, go and its many variants are abstract strategy games with a more satisfying level of depth than chess.
