>when I was their age, I thought I was too. Unlike many on this board, I was optimistic for the future growing up. But other than graduating from high school, I haven't progressed in life at all. I still live at mummy's house. Still can't hold down a job. Still a virgin. Still friendless. Still haven't developed any skills I wanted to.
I became the guy I always laughed at in those tv shows/movies. I've stayed stagnant, while the kids born after 9/11 will continue to surpass me more and more with each day.

Same. Hell, at 19 I decided I'll kill myself at 35, if I hadn't found any meaning and happiness in my life by that point. I probably won't, but I don't know what I would live for. I guess for most people it's their kids, but even if I was capable of getting married and having kids, I don't want to bring another life into this world only to validate me continuing mine, only for them to possibly go through the same hardships as me.
