I've never had any friends, but I've noticed that closer people have weirder and weirder conversation topics. My friendlessness is not related to social skills but is the result of the acquired betterness and cynicism from r9k even after learning social skills.

People I know to be acquaintances talk about boring shit, while best friends talk about friggin monkeys having sex with humans.

Most robots like us have no social skills, so pretty much we think that broad topics are boring, and choose to skip it, but because of lack of intimacy, in friendships, we're seen as weirdos and creeps.

Other robots have social skills but regard other human beings as boring when they fail to see past the surface because of their impatience.
