Earth is a classified as a D-class habitat (haven't discovered faster-than-light travel or possess advanced communications)

Every D-class world gets a couple "scouts" stationed there with their goal to assimilate and observe. The problem is, sometimes, especially with the case of earth, due to our distance communication takes a long time to reach here.

So sometimes if a scout is stationed on a distant, underdeveloped world, they start fucking with the politics/society/influeicng things for personal gain etc.

Physically I look similar to an adolescent or teenage child. My disguise really isn't elaborate at all. It just consists of what humans normally wear since the features that would give me away are easily explainable.

I always feel bad when the order comes down for another mole to be planted because the whole process hasn't been nearly streamlined enough to be undermining multiple generations of organics. Not only do we perpetuate our own stereotypes by abducting innocent humans for experiments that will destroy their bodies in the process, the policy of transferring their consciousness to the HC-16 organic simulator has too many bugs and these units are never able to fully re-integrate themselves into human society. I think there's a problem with the social recognition processor because they generally become outcasts and display symptoms of what the humans call "autism"; it's beyond my pay grade so even if i wanted to fix it I wouldn't know where to start. So now we're left with the predicament of human health specialists wasting their time finding a cure for a disease that's really just a mechanical problem with the organic simulators that we use to cover our own existence (except they already know we do this, so both of us are just wasting time????). I think the engineers tried too hard to give them the capacity for emotion and the normal human desire for reproduction, considering their sexual hardware is non functional and all the units are designed with failsafes to prevent them from ever reaching sexual encounters.

Oh well, at least it'll all be over when we finally invade and eat everyone's brains.
